Our TRR81 lockdown paper is online! We review the fetal hemoglobin repression network focused on epigenetic repressors that could be targeted by PROTACs. Excellent teamwork with Sjaak Philipsen. Kudos to Thijs & Marco! You can find this article in the Chemical Epigenetics Issue.
Top 10% Most Downloaded Paper!
We are thrilled to share our new paper in Chemistry—An European Journal. We have implemented a peptide‐based platform to prepare, and confine bioorthogonally activatable BODIPY-tetrazine photosensitizers. Check out our cytoplasmic membrane derivative, quite impressive! Congrats to Greta, you rock!
Our ChemBio Course Is Published in J. Chem. Educ.
As Whitesides said “Interesting & unpublished is equivalent to non-existent”. We believe that published & unread does not make it any better. We publish to share our findings and achieve a collective advancement in science. Therefore, we are thrilled that our work on photoswitchable protein-protein interaction (PPI) modulators belongs to the 2019 top downloaded ChemBioChem […]
DFG Project Funded!
We describe an integrative chemical biology course focused on epigenetics. We strive to bring research culture to chemistry and biology Master’ s students. This article represents our compromise to become a teaching scholar as well as the courage to step out of our comfort zone. Touching teaching paper for us! Visit naughtee.net. We hope this […]
2020 European Prize of the RSEQ Chemical Biology Division
Our DFG project to control epigenetic states via light-triggered modulators of protein-protein interactions is funded! New PhD position coming soon.
It is an honour to be awarded as the 2020 Best European Young Researcher in Chemical Biology! It was quite an “in situ” surprise!! Thank you to all who made it possible, in particular, mentors, students (Bene, Lea, Greta & Lei), family and friends, especially those from The Marketing Heaven who enabled the voice of […]
First Doctor!! Yuuuuhhhhuuu!!
First 2020 Party!! The students do not stop surprising us with their great ideas! This year amusement program: let’s paint together! Amazing team work!Check the final version out! Besides, Doktormutti heat changing mug!! Thank you everybody, it was fun!
Mild Synthetic Approach for DNA-binding Polyamides
HOUSE PARTY!! Bene gets his PhD! It seems it was yesterday when Bene started to work on the chemical biology applications of photoresponsive DNA-binding agents…time flies, plenty of adventures! We wish you all the best in this new adventure! We will miss you, Bene! Do not hesitate to check Bene’s contributions at our Publication section. […]
Bene submits his PhD thesis!!
We developed a solid phase peptide methodology based on the Mtt protecting group. Our strategy is orthogonal and compatible with sensitive molecules and could be ready automated. Besides, our building blocks to Eliquis are more accessible than the standard Fmoc and Boc SPPS ones. Congratulations to Bene! Well-done!
There are milestone and milestones but that our 1st PhD student is handing his thesis in is a BIG ONE!! Excellent job, Bene! Congratulations!!
